Why do you use Slot Die Coating of Hot Melt Adhesive ?

Slot die coating is one of the best methods to coat hot melt adhesive. It is an enclosed process of coating. The molten hot melt adhesive is pumped from the melter through the heated hose to the die.

The coating width and the melt floe index of the adhesive can be varied by changing the shim width and thickness. The advantages of this process are minimum heat loss compared to the other processes. The molten adhesive is never open to the air. Can coat almost all materials like BOPP, PET, Cloth, HDPE fabric, Felt, Paper, Nonwoven, Aluminium foil, etc. Slot die coating allows for accurate and precise coating every time that is essential for mass production products.

Unlike reverse roll, coating slot die coating HM’s can have speeds of up to 150 m/min helping you achieve maximum efficiency and consistency of the product. The coating range in the method can be 15 gsm to 600 gsm depending upon the requirement. A proper Die and Back up roll setting gives even coating along the width. Also the Proper sync with glue pump and substrate speed and constant melting flow of adhesive, gives even coating along the length. High coating speeds or heavier GSMs can be achieved with the high capacity Melting units. This is to ensure the uninterrupted melt flow while coating.

Sterilized Reel Pouch Making Machine:

This machine is specially used for making Medical Pouch, Sterilized Reel, Sterilized Pouch from two-layer material:

(1) Medical Grade Paper and Compound Film or

(2) Paper and Paper medical bags.

This machine is coating Hot Melt Pressure Sensitive Adhesive to Nonwoven fabric. RTH Hot Melt Coating Machine is suitable for producing adhesive sticker, label paper. It is Manufactured in China by Xuteng Machinery Company Limited and Marketed by Trasy Enterprises in India.

The Machine in video has SLOT DIE coating method. Maximum available coating width is 1100mm. Coating thickness can be 12 to 50 GSM. Equality level is within ±2 GSM for coating of 20 to 45 gsm.

Maximum line speed of machine is 150 meters per minute. It has Maximum rewinding diameter capacity of 1000mm, the tension is controlled with load cell feed back and powder brakes for unwinding units. The Rewind has servo motor controlling system for tension-controlled winding.

Maximum unwinding diameter is 1000mm. The Roll weight can be up to 1000 Kilograms.

RP120H Pre melter unit provides 180 Kg per hour Melting speed of EVA 3000 centipoise 165 degree Centigrade.

The quantity of glue can be adjusted independently or synchronously with the main machine.
