Sticky cards are glue-based traps frequently used in pest control to catch and monitor insects and other pests. Most sticky traps contain no pesticides, although some may be impregnated with aromas designed to be attractive to certain pests.
Some of the pests readily trapped by sticky traps include cockroaches, spiders, stored product pest beetles and other crawling insects, mites and scorpions. Sticky traps are less effective in trapping bed bugs and flying insects.
Sticky traps are useful for monitoring an area for crawling insects 24/7, and as such are frequently used by professionals to enhance their ability to detect pests during pest control inspections. Sticky traps allow an inspector to detect pests that are active at night or other times when people are not present.
Will sticky traps control pests?
Sticky traps are generally not very good at controlling small insect or mite pests. Their best use is to detect pests, and monitor changes in pest abundance. Whenmultiple traps are placed in a room, they can also help pinpoint the source of an insect problem. Glue traps for control of vertebrate pests (e.g., mice or rats), however, can provide effective control when used by aknowledgeablepest control professional.

Fly sticky Tape Making Machine:
Trasy Enterprises has developed a machine to make Sticky fly ribbon, fly paper, fly sticker, fly strip or fly tapes by coating Hot Melt Adhesive on tape. Hot Melt Adhesives are water resistant hence can withstand all seasons in open air and sun light. This product is very effective to arrest fly population and wondering of flies in neighborhoods of dairy and poultry manure.
The house fly is considered the major pest fly species associated with dairy and poultry manure, especially in caged-layer operations. This is a cause of public health nuisance complaints in surrounding communities. The effective house fly dispersal ranges from their preferred breeding sources to 1 kilometre radius area. The flies are capable of harbouring more than 100 human and animal disease-causing organisms.

This machine is a hot melt adhesive coating machine. The machine has two heads of slot die coating and two melting units. This enables to coat on both sides of the substrate in single operation. As a result it gives double production and less wastage.
This machine is designed specially for making sticky insect traps. It has capacity to hold 300mm wide rolls and coat up to 300mm width. Along with double coating heads it has 3 unwinds and 1 rewind.
Two unwinds hold rolls of release liner. These liners are coated with slot dies. These slot dies are fed with the molten glue by two independent melting units. Both melting units have gear pumps for controlled, constant and measured flow of glue.
After coating on the release liners, both the papers are laminated with the PVC film sandwiched in between. This PVC film is dispensed from the third unwinder. After the lhe lamination all the three plies are wound at the winding station.
All the unwinders are equipped with magnetic powder brakes and web guiding systems. The rewind station has a magnetic clutch for a taper tension controlled winding.
